It's a good call that you stick to the unedited one. Your first tametpt was too dark (or maybe it's just me). You sticking to the SOOC would mean that you have been doing good with making the settings right in your camera-which makes it even better. I have the same dilemma with you especially on my portraits. I have yet to establish my own style but then again, sometimes, its a matter of style and personal preference...more practice and you'll eventually get there. :)
