- Strange Journey
Mem Aleph is the ruling demon of the land of creation, codenamed Sector Horologium. She is the very center of the Schwarzwelt, mother to even the other Mother goddesses and could be called the voice and memory of Earth itself. She is the mother of creation who was once the placenta from which all human souls were born. Since then she has become angry and now detests the ones who live off the fat of the Earth, causing it to die and decay. She has now become the mother of total destruction, whose rage can only be calmed by the sacrifice of the billions of humans polluting her Earth.
- Neutral or Law Paths
Angry that instead of being repentant for their sin against the Earth, they instead have come to destroy her as well, Mem Aleph can find no trace of the human souls that once lived alongside her kind. Seeing them as no more than a virus threatening to destroy the Earth, Mem Aleph acts to eliminate the Protagonist, but is unable to overcome his power. Astonished that she could be overcome by a human, she is forced to transfigure herself into raw, naked power, casting off her form, reason, and even her very future. As this new empty entity, her sole desire is to crush the humans spirits into atoms and then disappear into the air. Still unable to overcome the immense strength of the Protagonist, she disappears, leaving behind only her Exotic Matter.
- Chaos Path
Seeing a glimmer of hope for the human race, Mem Aleph welcomes the Protagonist and Jimenez warmly, granting the Protagonist power enough to see her true form. Although she has lost many of her allies, including the three other Mothers, she sees these loses as a necessary step in polishing the humans souls. She sends them out to collect the Cosmic Eggs so that she can spread the power of the Schwarzwelt thoughout the world in only a short space of time. Upon return to Sector Horologium the angels destroy the elevator leading to her chamber and the Protagonist has to take the long route to meet with her. Mem Aleph transforms her own body into Exotic Matter so that the Protagonist and Jimenez can control the Vanishing Point, claiming she would be reborn again once demons and humans lived alongside one another once again.
