Also romanized Parica, Pairika or Pairilas. In Zoroastrianism, Pariker is a general term for Persian witches, usually describing the beautiful one. They're thought to be the personification of meteor which hits on the ground and foretells the upcoming disaster or misfortune. The word Parica may associate with another Persian fairy being, Peri.
