Why can't I access the documents folder on my comp
01/13/08 at 18:45:34

I've tried getting help for this elsewhere with no luck.  But I can't access the Documents folder on my computer.  The folder that is Brandi's Documents is find but the one that is just Documents give me the error of Access Denied.  I have even tried to open it in safe mode and no luck.  I am the only person who uses this computer so I don't think it's some normal login issue.

I'm using windows XP SP2.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

How would I do such a check?  Going to the properties for the folder doesn't help.

Right click the My Documents shortcut and check it is pointing to the right area. It's in Target.

Are you the only admin account?

Go to Start->Run, enter chkdsk and let it run.

Huh. You may as well leave it, it's shared documents between accounts.

This maybe unrelated.  But I have documents that have been missing for a while and I can't find them.  I had the script and a few chapters of the original SMT manga done and I was inserting the script.  I left it for a while and when I came back to finish up my work it I couldn't find any of the files.  It was around that time I found that, folder didn't work.  I'd really like those files back, it was a lot of work.
