I'm kinda surprised that no one here is talking about it.  I for one thought it was incredible and one of the best movies I've ever seen.  Any other takes?

When I read the title, I thought you were talking about the "The Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda".

I think it was very good, but not nearly redefining like Bats Begins. Finally a Harvey Dent that looks as gross as in the comic books and they got rid of that whinny girl.  
On the other hand, i think its sad that Ledger was just becoming a good actor and POW!
I dont think it tops Nicholson's though.

Nicholson's Joker wasn't really that great. He was way more comical than sinister, which isn't how it is in the comics. Maybe it's that way in the cartoon, but no the comics. Besides, Dark Knight is a bit based on The Killing Joke, where the Joker was one evil-ass dude. So I like Ledger's more.

Yeah I thought his performance as Joker was very impressive, espically the little twitch habits he portrayed, such as the licking of his lips constantly.  Just really REALLY loved the movie.

Movie is awesome but perhaps only because this is Batman at its finest. No Marvel dickery here..as in "add Venom so the fanboys will watch it". Just pure Bats. Sure the Joker didn't get his face "canonically" and lots of other crap. But who cares

At least it wasn't shit like the Burton Batman movies.
