Kuzunoha Raidou vs King Abaddon

Release date: October 23, 2008?
System: Playstation 2

+ Set in the same year that the first Raidou game was
+ More than two times the number of demons from the first Raidou game, fusion has apparently been improved.
+ (I'm not sure if this is right or not, but

A dramatic overhaul and improvement, so much so that this could be called the third Raidou game instead of second.
+ Much more to do in the game
+ Can be enjoyed without having played the previous game
+ Real time battles
+ Possible to have two demon allies summoned at a time, Raidou can get special moves?
+ Demon negotiation is back.
+ New battle system thingy: MAG Scheduling Battle, but I don't really understand what it says.

Also, why King Abbadon? You think because of P4, with the Japanese deity theme, they go with biblical demons?

So we should just be happy with mediocrity? Sorry, I'm not trying to be difficult, but more SMT isn't necessarily a good thing if the titles keep slipping downslope.

^ Which games? The only ones I can think of that have been widely and unanimously dissed are: Last Bible, Ronde, maybe the Devil Children, and some nitpickers don't like Persona 3. The thing is the SMT ubrella is so varied that it's hard to classify the different offshoots as being good or not when their gameplay is so drastic from their brethren.

Majin Tensei as a whole is a terrible series, if... (Atlus began their pattern of making cheap spin-offs very early in their career), the original two on the NES, Devil Children series, Devil Summoner 1 (Sega Saturn), the Last Bible Series, etc, etc.

Meh, while I can agree with a lot of the titles you have listed, I like the first DS.

Not much to comment about the trailer,it does seem the gameplay has been improved a little,but this is just an assumption. I can't fully tell what has been changed just from that alone.Hope more clips will be shown later on.
