Friday, April 18, 2003 Ahh, I love my friends. This current D&D game we are playing all started out because I wanted practice DMing. Now I think I created a monster. I huge man eating purple monster of doom. And while I have enjoyed DMing, I really miss being a player, there is something special about spending all that work on a character. As a DM things go much to quickly to love them. But I do think it has made me a quicker thinker.posted by Brandi at 3:06 AM Thursday, April 17, 2003 I, Strahd ::giggles: I just finished my first Ravenloft book about the Lord of Ravenloft Strahd the Vampire and I honestly cannot wait to play a campaign in Ravenloft. I even have an idea for a character name, Ravenia. I think it's a pretty name. And I think I might want to play a Drow Elf Cleric. Something like that. Bwahahahahaha! Oh it should be interesting. Verily it is hard work dungeoneering, all those monsters, evil vagabonds, bad food and darkness. I hate the dark. The gods know I like treasure, fame, fortune, but I do miss a nice warm bed, a flagon of fine ale, and a comely wench. Profits are good, by Boccob its nice to own this town. This new sword of mine is having a strange affect on me, I seem to be developing a sense of decency! Pray it's not permanant! Oh, well time will tell. We play generally every Sunday and Tuesday, and so far it has been working out pretty well. My character is a 12 level Cleric of Corellon Larethian, Janier Greenmeadow. We're currently in town but we just cleared the 6th level of Rappan Athuk. Trying really hard not to die. All and all it has been interesting. During Sunday's game we plane shifted and ended up on the Astral Plane. From there we each went to see our own individual gods. I wound up having sex with my god, Trent Reznor, David Bowie and the bard in our party. Our DM keeps things very interesting.
