Smart play is necessary to win games in NBA 2K18 with 2K18 MT. When you're stuck holding the ball with 2 hands, only abusing the pump imitation will make you predictable. The same as in real life basketball, deception helps produce openings to your team to land a shot. Among the tools offered in your disposal is the imitation pass.
 
To execute a bogus pass, just press on the jump and shot button at the same moment. It is triangle plus circle for PS4, B and Y for Xbox X and A for your Switch. Comparable to performing a normal pass, the path on the left stick determines which person you will throw the fake pass to.Take note the imitation pass doesn't work when you trigger icon passing.
 
You can conduct the imitation pass as many times as you want MT NBA 2K19. Additionally, you can alternate between pump fake and imitation passes until you see a shooter opening or an open teammate. But, take care not to abuse these activities as your enemies can certainly steal the ball when you are repeatedly doing such maneuvers. Additionally, make sure the player you use has a high enough ball handling ability in case you don't need to lose the ball.
