Death Note has plenty of that. If anything because the mental battles between the character basically resolve around:
 
"Ha! I do this!
 
"Oh, but I knew that you'd do that, so I do this!"
 
"Oh yeah? Well I saw that coming, so I shall do this!"
 
And on, and on, and on. It is refreshing to see mental battles instead of phisical battles, but dear lord, do they drag it for as long as they can. The manga sometimes has more text than drawings.

It's about a genius Japanese High School Senior called Light Yagami that finds a notebook called Death Note. It turns out to belong to a shinigami, and has the ability to allow it's user to kill anyone he wishes, so long as he knows his name and what his face looks like. He decides to use it to kill off all criminals of the world. By staring out with small criminals in Japan only, he eventually moves to big internationally known criminals, which gets the attention of the nations of the world, who hire a genius detective simply known as L to put a stop to him.  
 
And so, the show is the battle of their wits, and how the world reacts to the events (Light even gets some sort of God-like status among certain Internet communities).
