Death Note has plenty of that. If anything because the mental battles between the character basically resolve around:

"Ha! I do this!

"Oh, but I knew that you'd do that, so I do this!"

"Oh yeah? Well I saw that coming, so I shall do this!"

And on, and on, and on. It is refreshing to see mental battles instead of phisical battles, but dear lord, do they drag it for as long as they can. The manga sometimes has more text than drawings.

That's what we call an exaggeration. Seriously, the episodes should've been made into one hour long installments. I hate having one episode of talking and no actual development.

Death Note is a crappy anime which takes mental(ly retarded) battles to the extreme and substitutes real action with shitty over-the-top scenes of Light eating a potato chip or simply writing a name in his notebook.

L: I made some coffee, do you want some?
Light: I don't want any coffee, but if I say "No." he's suspect that I'm Kira.Then again, if I say "Yes." while appearing to not actually want any coffee he'll suspect me even more...
Matsuda: Light has been staring into space for the past 5 minutes.I wonder what's on his mind.
L: I guess he doesn't any coffee.Hmm...his hesitation is highly suspicious.I think the odds of Light being Kira has increased by 4.815162342 %
